A tidy, well-cared-for residential garden

General garden care

A garden that stays cared for, without it eating your weekends

General garden care covers the smaller, recurring jobs that keep everything looking after itself between bigger tasks. James handles the light trimming, the weeding, the edges and the paths, so your garden stays tidy and you stay off your knees on a Saturday morning.

What James can help with

It's not overgrown, it's just never quite tidy

The lawn is fine, the hedge is fine, but the borders are creeping, weeds keep returning and the edges have gone soft. Lots of small jobs add up to a garden that never feels properly looked after. General care keeps on top of all of them so it stops nagging at you.

You've run out of weekends to give it

Life fills up and the steady jobs are the first to go. A regular visit takes them off your hands, so you come home to a garden that has already been kept in shape.

It's drifted, and you want it back

Maybe a season got away from you, or you've taken on a garden that the last owner let go. A one-off catch-up visit clears the weeds, redefines the edges and resets things, so regular care has a clean starting point to hold.

What's included

Every visit is about a tidy finish and clear communication — practical garden care that suits the property, not a one-size-fits-all package.

  • Taking away the green waste so nothing's left behind

How it works

From first message to a tidy finish

1

Tell James what's bothering you

Give him a call or text, or fill in the free quote form. A few words about the garden and what's getting on top of you is enough to get started.

2

A look round and a clear quote

James comes to see the garden, talks through what needs doing and what's worth leaving, and gives you a straightforward quote before anything starts.

3

The work gets done properly

He works through the jobs the garden actually needs that visit, from weeding and edges to trimming and clearing, and leaves the whole thing tidy with the waste taken away.

4

Keep it that way, or don't

If you'd like, James can call back on a regular rhythm to keep things under control. If you only wanted a one-off catch-up, that's completely fine too.

General Garden Care questions, answered

What's the difference between general garden care and garden maintenance?

They overlap. General garden care is best thought of as the lighter, ongoing upkeep, the trimming, weeding, edges and paths that keep things ticking over. If you're after a fuller, structured maintenance arrangement covering the whole garden, take a look at the garden maintenance page, and James can advise which fits you when he visits.

Can James sort out a garden that's been let go?

Yes. A lot of jobs start as a one-off catch-up visit on a garden that's drifted, clearing the weeds, redefining edges and getting it back into shape. From there you can either leave it or move onto regular visits to keep it that way.

Do I have to commit to a regular slot?

Not at all. Plenty of people just want an occasional tidy when the garden needs it. You can book a single visit, and only set up a regular rhythm if and when it suits you.

Do you take the garden waste away?

Yes. Prunings, weeds and loose debris are gathered and removed at the end, so the garden is usable straight away.

No need for perfect wording. A rough note is fine.
