A garden tidied up after a one-off clear-up

Garden tidy-ups

Get an overgrown garden back under control

When a garden has run away from you, a single thorough tidy-up resets it. James Pope clears the overgrowth, brings the lawn and beds back into shape and hands you back a space you can actually enjoy again. One visit, a proper job, and a clear picture of where things stand.

What James can help with

It has got away from you

A few busy months, a wet spring, a house move, and suddenly the garden looks like a job too big to start. James walks in, sees past the mess, and works through it in a sensible order so you do not have to.

Moving in, moving on, or renting out

An inherited garden, a property going on the market, or a let between tenants all need the same thing: a quick, decisive reset that makes the outside space look cared for. A tidy garden lifts the whole first impression of a home.

You just want one good clear-out

Not everyone wants a regular visit. Sometimes you only need someone to come once, sort the backlog properly, and leave it tidy enough that you can keep on top of it yourself from there.

What's included

A clean, dependable garden tidy-ups job

Every visit is about a tidy finish and clear communication — practical garden care that suits the property, not a one-size-fits-all package.

  • Cutting back overgrown shrubs, brambles and anything that has spread where it should not
  • Mowing the lawn back down to a healthy, even length, even if it has got long
  • Trimming hedges and shrubs back into a clean, manageable shape
  • Clearing weeds from beds, borders, paths and gravel
  • Tidying and re-edging beds so the planting reads clearly again
  • Raking up and removing the cuttings, leaves and general debris
  • Clearing away all the green waste so you are left with a finished, usable garden

How it works

From first message to a tidy finish

1

A quick chat about the garden

Call or text James, or send a few photos through the online quote form. He will get a feel for the size of the job and what is bothering you most about the space.

2

A look and a free quote

For anything beyond the straightforward, James comes to see the garden in person. You get an honest, no-obligation quote based on what is actually there, never a guess over the phone.

3

The tidy-up itself

On the day, James works through the garden methodically: the heavy cutting-back first, then mowing, weeding, trimming and edging, so each stage builds on the last.

4

Cleared and handed back

All the waste is gathered and taken away, surfaces are swept down, and you are left with a garden that feels looked after again and is far easier to keep that way.

Garden Tidy-Ups questions, answered

My garden is really overgrown. Is it too far gone?

Almost never. Knee-high grass, brambles through the borders, hedges that have doubled in size: James deals with this regularly. The worse it looks now, the bigger the difference a proper tidy-up makes.

Do you take the garden waste away?

Yes. Cuttings, weeds and debris are gathered as the tidy-up progresses and removed before James leaves, so the finished garden is ready to use.

Is this a one-off, or do I have to sign up for regular visits?

It is a genuine one-off. Plenty of people just want a single reset. If you would rather keep it looking that way without the effort, James also offers ongoing garden maintenance, but there is no obligation to take it.

How do I arrange a tidy-up?

Start with a call, a text, or the online quote form. For most tidy-ups James will pop round to see the garden first, then give you a clear, free quote before you decide.
